In the winter of 2014/ 2015, an unusually warm temperatures delayed the migratory departure Southwards, of the Common starling from the Netherlands. This provided filmmaker Jan van IJken with the unique opportunity to film this spectacle of nature. Every evening thousands of starlings gathered to perform an airshow unlike anything seen before.
