Excellent Climber - Arboreal

Found in Indonesia, the Bornean White-Bearded Gibbon makes its home in logged tropical evergreens and mixed-swamp forests, the latter of which is an extremely threatened ecosystem. It is a smaller primate with grey fur and a black face and is tailless. It lives in small family groups of a male, female and their offspring.

This primate primarily subsists off of fruit, but also enjoys insects found in nearby immature leaves. The Bornean White-Bearded Gibbon has been recorded in forests upwards of 1,200 meters in elevation, but tends to be less present at these higher elevations.
